Hemant is a well-known senior journalist and writer of the country. He has also worked as the Chief Advisor and Researcher in the Archives of the Government of Bihar. He has written dozens of books. A research book titled "When the river is tied" has become very popular in the country.
Ghanshyam
Ghanshyam is a noted Environmentalist and Social Scientist and a prominent Social Worker engaged in spreading awareness among the rural masses, particularly Adivasis, minorities and women folk. He actively participated in J. P. movement in 1974 and was an active member of the Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Vahini from 1975 to 1984. He was Special Correspondent of Jansatta newspaper, New Delhi 1988-93.
In recognition of his social concern, and active participation in spreading the message of socialism, he was awarded the “Lok Nayak Jayaparakash Narayan National Award” by the Maniklalji Balkishan Dasji Gandhi Charitable Trust at Nagpur in 2003, persented by the late Dr. Baba Amte .
Shekhar is a well-known artist and documentary filmmaker. He has given a new dimension to 'Manjusha' painting of Bhagalpur region in Bihar, He is one of the leading documentary film makers of Jharkhand and has many educational, cultural and socio economic based documentary films to his credit.His paintings have essence of Jharkhandi Culture. There are anomalies of modern development shown in his Painting. He provides space to the Indigenous art traditions of Jharkhand. Ancient rock paintings have been found in Jharkhand, the style of which has been used creatively in his painting. His painting also underlies the relation between mathematics and art. Mr. Shekhar has written a book on Manjusha Art, a folk painting in Bhagalpur area.
